It’s officially Monday, the start of what will be an amazing week. I woke up really energized and eager to get my day started, so that’s always a good sign that today will be a good day.

I had a relaxing weekend hanging out at home with my family and I was really able to just kick my feet up. Earlier last week my husband and I headed up to Los Angeles for some business meetings and it was the most perfect sunny day out. I always enjoy going up to Los Angeles. Even though I didn’t get to venture to much around the city, we had a few minutes to spare to walk around downtown. We dined at WP24 By Wolfgang Puck at The Ritz-Carlton, and from the service, to the delicious food, and a sangria I’m working so hard to recreate at home we really had a nice lunch there.

Now to what you all are really waiting on, what on earth did I wear? Well, I’m really getting into more casual chic looks especially ones that look put together nicely for something such as a meeting but are also very comfortable afterwards so you can go about your day. Here’s a breakdown of my casual military chic look that I strutted around downtown L.A in.

Pants:

Lets just say I absolutely love a pair of joggers and the Giles Pant from Cinq a Cept that I wore really gave me that casual military look I was going for. What I like about these pants is that they are made of Cupro and it really does almost look like it’s silk, so it gives off a very luxurious appearance and they are so light weight. Being that these pants are made of such nice material they’re so easy to pair with a pair of heels or even sneakers. You guys know I appreciate clothing that is diverse so I’ll easily be able to incorporate these joggers into some of my other looks that may not be as casual.

Top: Keeping my look very clean, I chose a simple Stretch Cami from Ann Taylor. It’s funny because I realized that I really like these cami’s because I found about 4 of them in my dresser. They are made of a nice stretchy material and are so soft, I’m almost convinced that’s why I’ve continued to buy so many.

Shoes:

These Giuseppe Zanotti Kendra ankle boots have become my favorite heel for casual looks. I was ready to go to war with these leather boots. So comfortable to wear, even while walking around downtown it just felt like I was wearing a regular pair of boots. From their leather make to the silver zipper and buckle detail these boots are really a fashionistas military look must have. Giuseppi Zanotti always creates such detailed eye-catching shoes, and these really have great detail.

Glasses:

Added some sophistication to my look with a cute pair of Dior sunglasses. They’re all black with a strip of silver at the top of the lens so they paired perfectly with my boots. Being that they are a dark pair of glasses with a dark lens, they really did give off an edgy look.

Watch:

I’ve really taken an interest in watches, specifically ones that have unique features and designs. My newest addition to my watch collection is part of the Hublot Big Bang collection. Being that my look was very simple my accessories and shoes really stood out and were the highlight of my look. My watch was a nice addition to my outfit, I didn’t want to pair it with any bracelets since it is such a sleek watch it naturally looked nice on it’s own. Hublot carries some of the most detailed watches I’ve every laid my eyes on and they do have some great watches for women.

Handbag:

The best part about wearing my khaki pants is that I can pair it with either black or brown accessories, or you can incorporate both tones like I did for this outfit. I opted for my Ralph Lauren Calfskin Ricky 33 designer handbag to compliment my military look. This purse is so functional for the girl like me who has a lot of things in their purse because it has a lot of space. Many times you’ll have a purse that really only looks good for either a casual look or only a formal look, and this bag worked so well with my casual military look but I can also see it working perfectly for someone that did have on dress pants and  a button up shirt with cute heels or flats, or even someone wearing a dress. It’s a great bag that you can work into any of your outfits.

My casual military chic look was not only a simple trendy look, but overall it won me over with how comfortable it was. Not going to lie guys, I’m noticing more military and khaki looks are making their way into my closet. Summer is coming and the military look isn’t going anywhere. This is a great edgy summertime look that was so easy to put together and allowed each item from the heels on up to really stand out and complete this entire look.
